Chromebooks

Expectations: All students are issued a Chromebook and Charging Cord. Students are responsible for covering the cost of repairs for damage that occurs to the Chromebook while it is checked out to them.

Chromebook Insurance covers accidental damage or loss and is available for $20.00 at the time of registration through end of October. New students can contact the school's EdTech to purchase insurance when after they are enrolled.

Power cords are not covered by insurance. Cords can be purchased from the school for $20.

For repairs needed due to typical use, submit a ticket to the RRPS Support Portal and our IT deptartment will fix it.

For physical damage to the Chromebook, if you have insurance submit a ticket to RRPS Support Portal and mention you have insurance. If you don't have insurance, you will be sent a fee via SchoolCash Online. You can pay online or you can pay cash or check to the school.

RRPS Chromebook expectations for responsible technology use are crucial for a positive learning environment. During registration, both students and parents committed to these expectations online, and they are reviewed with students in their Homeroom class. Violating these expectations is a Level 2 or Level 3 offense, leading to consequences such as In-School Suspension, a quarter-long loss of Chromebook privileges, and completing assignments on paper. Your cooperation is appreciated in maintaining a secure digital learning environment.
