  • composition book, 100 sheets (200 pages)

  • Red pens(for grading)
  • 8 glue sticks (might need more as the year goes by)
  • Ruler
  • Protractor
  • Highlighters (At least two different colors)
  • Scissors
  • Post-it Tabs to use as dividers for notes
  • Scientific Calculator (optional, highly recommended TI 30x IIs)



COURSE DESCRIPTION: The fundamental purpose of this course is : (1) formulating and reasoning about expressions and equations, including modeling an association In bivariate data with a linear equation and solving linear equations and systems of linear equations; (2) grasping the concept of a function and using functions to describe quantitative relationships; (3) analyzing two- and three-dimensional space and figures using distance, angle, similarity, and congruence, and understanding and applying the Pythagorean Theorem.


  1. Solving general one-variable linear equations.


Assessments 75% of grade
Practice 25%
Make ups, redos, and corrections are accepted and encouraged.

Each semester final will be worth 20% of their semester grade.
