Big Event 2016Rio Rancho High School Associated Students was honored in February with the Platinum Student Council of the year Award from the New Mexico Association of Student Councils. The award is the highest honor a student council can receive, requiring a council to complete at least one project in ten different categories, as well as participating in district and state student council activities.

This is the fourth consecutive year RRHS Associated Students has earned this award, which was handed out at the NMASC State Student Council Conference in February.

In addition to the Platinum Award, the Associated Students also won a Delegates’ Choice Award for Best Community Service Project for the annual BIG Event service project (shown in photo above), and a Delegates’ Choice Award for its scrapbook, which captured all of the council’s activities during the past twelve months.
