Science - Mrs. Clare

Welcome to Mrs. Clare's

                               6th Grade
                        Earth Science Class

Unit #5 – Earth’s Systems, Water Cycle and Weather

Essential Question:   How does water cycle through Earth’s systems?

How do the motions and interactions of air masses affect changes in weather conditions?

Students will study the roles of water in Earth’s surface processes and weather and climate.  Students understand how Earth’s geosystems operate by modeling the flow of energy and cycling of matter within and among different systems. Students develop understanding of the factors that control weather.  Emphasis will be on how air masses flow from regions of high pressure to low pressure, causing weather at a fixed location to change over time, and how sudden changes in weather can result when different air masses collide.
