Unit #5 - Rocks along with Weathering, Erosion, and Deposition

Essential Question:

What story do rocks tell us?

Students will learn the three types of rocks along with the components of the rock cycle.  They will learn that igneous rocks can be extrusive or intrusive while metamorphic rocks can be classified as foliated or non-foliated. Students will learn to identify each type of rock and interpret the history of the rock.  They will also investigate the forces on Earth that break down the rocks that are created.

Please click on the "calendar" link on the left to see the daily agenda in my class.  You can also click on the "Useful Links" tab to find folders.  The folders are labeled by unit and will contain all files that I have used in that unit.  If your student has lost an assignment, you should be able to find it in the unit folder.  Finally, you will find a PDF file of the textbook in this folder.
