RRMS Announcements
Schedule for Last Day of School

The last day of school is Thursday, May 24th , and we will operate on a half-day schedule.  Classes will begin at the normal time, and dismissal time will be 11:15am.
Choir Concert

Our end of year concert is next Tuesday, the 15th  at the Rio Grande Youth Choral Invitational.  It starts at 7pm in the Cleveland Concert Hall.


American Indian Summer Academy

The American Indian Summer Academy is open to all Native American students grades K-11. 

Attention Native American StudentsJoin us for a fun, educational learning experience during the 2012 American Indian Summer Academy: A Robotic Adventure! The summer academy will take place July 23-Aug. 3 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday at Puesta del Sol Elementary School. Registration forms are available at www.rrps.net. Registration deadline is June 15, 2012. For more information contact Victoria Tafoya at 896.0667.

Tuesday, May 22nd:  Math and English
Wednesday, May 23rd:  Social Studies and Science
Thursday, May 24th:  Make up day

Yearbook Distribution
Yearbooks will be distributed on May 17th and 18th to those students who pre-ordered a yearbook.  There will be about 200 for sale...they will be available on a first come/first serve basis.  They will be $35, cash or check accepted.

July 25, 2012 Hours 11:00 – 6:00 Returning students 6th, 7th & 8th grades with last names A-L

July 26, 2012 Hours 11:00 – 6:00 Returning students 6th, 7th & 8th grades with last names M-Z

July 27, 2012 Hours 8:30 – 12:00 (Noon) All New Students – you must bring a birth certificate, shot records and proof of residency (utility bill in your name)


Common Core State Standards
New Mexico is one of 46 states that have adopted a new set of academic standards known as the Common Core State Standards. Student Advisory Council Application

Calendar Updates

Our makeup days for the snow days will be:  February 21, April 9, and May 24.  If we need any additional snow days for this year—we will add them starting May 25.  April 6 (Good Friday) will NOT be used as a snow make-up day.
